Have you ever opened the refrigerator door, but then couldn’t remember what you had come to get? このような経験がありますか?冷蔵庫のドアを開けたのですが、何を取りに行ったか忘れました。 Have you ever gone shopping, but because you didn’t bring your shopping list you could not remember everything you needed to buy? 買い物に行ったのですが、ショッピングリストを持って来なかったので、買いたい物を忘れた事がありますか? Have you ever forgotten a password and so were not able to do something? パスワードを忘れたので、何かが出来なかった事がありますか? There are the nice, old memories that make us smile. There are other things we must remember in order to survive in this modern world. 覚えていたら楽しい思い出ありますが、この現代的な世を生き残る為に、覚えていなければならないものが沢山あります。
On the first Easter morning, Mary and the other women remembered that Jesus had died and so they remembered the ancient burial customs with spices and they remembered where the tomb of Jesus was and so they went to the correct tomb. 最初のイースターの朝、マリア達は、イエス様が死んだ事を忘れませんでしたので、伝統的なお葬式に使った香料を忘れないで持って行きました。又、イエス様が寝かされたお墓の場所を覚えていましたので、正しいお墓に行きました。 They remembered that the door had been sealed with a large stone. お墓の入口が大きい石で閉じられ、封印されていた事も覚えていました。 But when they arrived the stone was rolled away from the tomb, and for a moment they were glad, because they thought they could go right in and perform the funeral rituals. それで、お墓に着くと、その石が横に転koroがされた事を見て、その一瞬間良かったと思いました。すぐ入ってそのお葬式の儀式が出来ると思いました。But when they entered, the body of Jesus was gone. しかし入ると、イエス様の体がありませんでした。 They did not remember any plans to move the body of Jesus and so they did not know what to do next. イエス様の体を別の所に移す計画がないと思いましたので、どうしたら良いか分かりませんでした。 Neither did they remember the plans of Jesus to resurrect on the third day. 三日目に復活するイエス様のご計画を忘れてしました。 And so they did nothing. それで、マリア達は何もしませんでした。 While they were wondering about this, suddenly two angels in gleaming clothes appeared to them.そのため途方tohou に暮kuれているあいだ、突然に輝く衣を着た二人の天使が現れました。
The angels reminded the women about the plan of Jesus: 天使達は女の人達にイエス様のご計画を思い出させました：
“Why do you look for the living among the dead? 「なぜ、生きておられる方を死者の中に捜すのか。 6 He is not here; he has risen! あの方は、ここにはおられない。復活なさったのだ。Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: まだガリラヤにおられたころ、お話しになったことを思い出しなさい。 7 ‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’” 人の子は必ず、罪人の手に渡され、十字架につけられ、三日目に復活する事になっている、と言われたではないか。」 8 Then they remembered his words. そこで、婦人たちはイエスの言葉を思い出した。

Then the women remembered the words of Jesus. それで女の人達はイエス様の言葉を思い出しました。 And so they told the Good News to the disciples. 弟子達にその良い知らせを伝えました。 But the disciples did not remember or understand or believe or trust the words of Jesus. しかし弟子達はイエス様の言葉を思い出さなかったか、分からなかったか、信じなかったか、信頼しなかったみたいです。 But Peter must have remembered the words of Jesus, and so he ran to the tomb and checked it out. But he did nothing but wonder to himself what had happened. しかし、ペテロはイエス様の言葉を思い出したみたいで、彼はお墓に走っていって調べました。
Today we have remembered that it is Easter Sunday, and so we have come to church. 今朝、私達が覚えるのは、今日が復活祭であるので教会に来ました。 We remember the words of Jesus, and so we believe that Jesus did indeed rise from the dead. イエス様の言葉を思い出しましたので、イエス様が本当に甦ったと信じます。 We remember the promises of Jesus, and so the empty tomb is no surprise for us. 又、私達はイエス様の約束を思い出しますので、その空っぽのお墓は私達にとって驚くべきものではありません。 We remember that the angels told the Good News, and so we trust the modern day messengers of the Gospel. 良い知らせを伝えた天使を思い出すので、現代の福音のメッセンジャーを信頼します。 We remember that Jesus later appeared to the disciples, and so we look forward to the day when we too shall meet Jesus. イエス様が後で弟子達に表わしました事を思い出しますので、私達もイエス様と出会う日を待ち望みます。
We remember that Jesus died to forgive our sin, and so Easter is like our own little resurrection. 私達の罪を赦す為に、イエス様が死んで下さった事を忘れる事が出来ないので、イースターは私達個人の復活のようです。 And so we are alive with Christ. それで私達はキリストと共に生きているのです。 And so every Sunday becomes a little Easter where we rediscover the empty tomb, hear the message of the Gospel, and remember the words and promises of Jesus. それで、毎週の日曜日は小さいイースターになります。再びその空っぽのお墓を見つけて、福音のメッセジーを聞いて、イエス様の言葉と約束を思い出します。 And so every day becomes a little Easter where we remember the love and mercy and grace and forgiveness of God. それで、毎日は小さいイースターになり、神様の愛と憐れみと恵みと赦しを思い出します。 And so everyday we are alive with Christ. 毎日は私達がキリストと共に生きる日になります。 Then we remember that the way to live is with that same love and mercy and forgiveness. 神の愛と憐れみと赦しを持って、生きるのです。
