For those who are new to church

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

John 3:16, NKJV

This is a bible verse which is said to summarize the entire Bible. the Bible has been loved and read across all times, languages, and cultures, as it is called the Eternal Best Seller. The reason why the Bible has been read by all people in this way without perishing, is because it is the word of the true God who created the heavens and the earth and who is still ruling the world.

The Bible says, “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,“. The sin which Bible mentions is not a crime, but a violation of a way which humans should originally live. It is a sin, for us who have been created by God, to live while ignoring God and to create and worship idol gods as we desire. It is also a sin to lie, or to speak badly about others or not to treat others respectfully.

We are the ones who should be perished because of sins we have committed. In the Bible, the word destruction means that the fellowship with God is completely cut off. As a result, people suffer from anxiety, anger, bitterness, and emptiness. Also, death does not mean that we will disappear and be free from all suffering. “And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment,“, says the Bible. After death, we will be resurrected and will stand before God’s judgement for the things each one of us have done in our bodies. Because of our sins, we will be thrown into a lake of fire and brimstone, and suffer day and night, forever. This is the destruction which the bible tells us.

However, God loved us so much that He has sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to the world. Jesus Christ died on the cross in order to be punished for our sins. Originally, we who sinned should have been crucified in the wrath of God, but Jesus Christ has been crucified on our behalf, received the wrath of God, shed blood and died. This is because there would be no forgiveness of sins without the shedding of blood. Jesus Christ died on the cross and was buried in the tomb, but was resurrected on the third day and is now still alive. Overcoming the “death, the wages of sin” (Romans 6:23) , and resurrecting means that Jesus Christ has completely won victory over sin.

If anyone admits that he is a sinner, repents of his sins, and believes and accepts Jesus Christ as his Savior and his Lord, God will forgive all his sins and give him eternal life. Eternal life is to have a close a fellowship with God and to be a child of God. A fellowship with God gives us full peace and joy, and after death, will be welcomed into heaven where eternal joy persists.

Now is the time for salvation! I sincerely continue to pray that you will repent of your sins, believe and accept God’s son, Jesus Christ, and receive eternal life before the time of salvation passes. If you wish to learn more about the Bible or to have eternal life, please feel free to visit our church.
