Pastor: Rev. Manabu Wakabayashi, M.Div.

Rev. Manabu Wakabayashi had served as an acting pastor of Shirone Lutheran Christ Church from April 2004. He became the ordained pastor on March 30, 2008 and resigned Shirone Lutheran Christ Church on Easter Day, April 5, 2015. After he resigned the pastor of Shirone Lutheran Christ Church, he had looked for the place where he could open a new church. He found current place and spend one year and half for renovating an old coffee shop into a new church. Kobari Evangelical Lutheran Church has been established on the Pentecost, June 4th, 2017, with many attendees of the dedication service and many people’s prayers and support. Rev. Manabu Wakabayashi has received a Bachelor of Science (Mechanical Engineering) in 1971 from Tohoku University, Sendai, Japan, and a Master of Divinity in 2002 from Concordia Theological Seminary (LCMS), Fort Wayne, IN, USA.
